Perry is a Chicago native birthed to Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. The character Jackie Harris was played by her mother in both the two shows she starred in on Roseanne. Odyssey Theatre Ensemble Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located in West Los Angeles. In the year 2016, Perry appeared on nine episodes of ABC's crime thriller The Family. In 2017, she played a supporting role in ABC's thriller about politics Scandal that starred her father. She also played her older Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon - which is a CBS spin-off from The Big Bang Theory. The character was chosen by auditions, even having a strong association with it.
