Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise is a popular American author, performer and actress who is well-known for her character Ginger Grant in the 1960s television series Gilligan's Island. In the 1950s, she began her acting career on stage with Bettle Davis' show Two's Company. In the 1950s, she appeared as a stage performer in several Broadway shows before gaining her way into the spotlight with her hit song 'Lil' Abner' in 1957. Within the same calendar year she released her first musical album, This is Tina Time. Louise made her foray into Hollywood as Griselda Walden on God's Little Acre, a dramatic film that debuted in 1958.The film received a lot of praise as well as Louise received an award called the Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the Year category. In this time, she studied at the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her teacher. She signed on with CBS in 1964 to portray Ginger Grant. Louise Balfour managed to juggle between Broadway and Hollywood acting as a sombre character against her famous image as a glamorous doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. In SG-1, she played Helen Magnus and Sanctuary. In recent times, she also became a well-known director of popular television series like Supernatural and The 100. Born in Essex on the 28th of August, 1965 and her family moved to Toronto when she was three which is where she spent the rest of in the adolescent years and childhood. Samantha Carter settled in Vancouver and Canada, following her decision to play the lead.
