Coleman was born and raised in the town of the Lancashire town of Blackpool. Coleman attended Arnold School in Blackpool where she was head girl and gained straight As in her A-levels. When discussing her Emmerdale appearance Coleman confessed she was regretting not going to University. While at school Coleman was part of the theatre group In Yer Space with whom she performed at the Edinburgh Festival in the play Crystal Clear. A prize was given to her for her show, and the production was received well. Coleman was chosen for the Emmerdale part of Jasmine Thomas after auditioning with drama schools. Coleman was awarded two awards in 2007. Coleman received two nominations in 2007 for Best Newcomer in the British Soap Awards; and the most Popular Newcomer for the National Television Awards. The 2009 British Soap Awards she was nominated for the Best Actress Sexiest Female and Best Dramatic Performance categories. Coleman was nominated for Best Actress by the TV Choice Awards. On the 21st March, 2012 Doctor Who producer Steven Moffat made it clear at a press conference that Coleman would be the companion of the Doctor alongside Matt Smith after Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill have left the show. Moffat selected her for the role as she performed most effectively with Smith and could talk faster than him. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She has been in the entertainment industry since 1987. Eva has been more prominent on TV as opposed to films. Eva's roles in TV series The Dr. Maria Santos, in All My Children, and detective Natalia Boa Vista in CSI Miami are notable. The actress was nominated 2 "Daytime Emmys" in the first role, and she also had a chance explore her artistic talents. Eva isn't just an actor, but also a businesswoman and philanthropist. She has been married thrice and is the mother of a child from her second husband.
